The ViaPost Portal allows users to upload a letter (PDF) and address list (.CSV/Excel file), and in just a few clicks send letters to one or as many recipients as you require. This requires no software to be downloaded or installed on your PC or network. For a more personalised letter the Portal also has the ability to do online mail merges so if required a Word XML file needs to be uploaded and the variables defined (see User Guide).

The ViaPost Driver is free software that can be installed quickly and simply onto your PC and works very much like a standard desktop printer. Once a user has created the document or mail merge using existing systems, they simply select print and “Send it ViaPost” rather than selecting their default desktop printer and printing locally. They can also select printer options as normal, such as single-sided/double-sided print, colour or black & white (grey scale) and they can also check that the address they have used is correct and matches the Royal Mail Postal Address database. This greatly reduces the volume of returned mail. Download the Driver.

The ViaPost API integrates with your current IT systems and allows your current enterprise software (Sage, Oracle, SAP, etc.) to send documents direct into our system without any user intervention. This is intended for higher volume users that want a seamless integration with their backend application. Contact us for access to the API.


About Viapost

The ViaPost Spooler is a drive or folder on your desktop that is constantly monitored so that if a PDF file is saved (or drag and dropped) to that place it is instantly sent based on the set up of that file (e.g. colour, single-sided, etc), again validating the address in the process. All PDF’s sent this way can be viewed from the Portal. Contact us for access to the Spooler.
