New post service reduces carbon emissions by 85% - Evening Standard

A postal service that uses 85 percent fewer carbon emissions than the traditional post is to be launched next month. Called ViaPost, the service allows users to send a letter via the internet to a printing centre near its destination. The letter is then printed and given to Royal Mail to be delivered as normal.
