Who is ViaPost™

The ViaPost team has a strong skill set that draws on careers in both multinational corporations and innovative start-ups.

Scott Fletcher Chairman

Scott Fletcher is one of the country's leading entrepreneurs, heading up companies with a total valuation in excess of £25m. He founded what is now his largest business, ANS, in 1996 at the young age of 22 from his back bedroom.  ANS have recently invested in Viapost at which point Scott became Chairman of the company

Scott was recently named Entrepreneur of the Year for the North West at the National Business Awards; he was also named the IOD Young Director of the Year and the PLUS Market's Chairman of the Year.

Scott's community involvement ranges from his positions on the Board of FC United of Manchester, a community football club, and the Board of Governors of Manchester Academy, a school local to the ANS offices, to making significant donations to Caudwell Children, The Prince's Trust and New East Manchester Enterprize.

Scott is often turned to by the media and is becoming known for his outspoken views on IT and business policies.

Simon Campbell, CEO

Simon is a multilingual entrepreneur with experience of management, marketing and sales directorships in several European countries. He has previously founded and grown three companies, where he took responsibility for the above functions, plus the management of individual accounts. Simon has taken ViaPost from the initial concept presented by Ben through funding, launch and is now responsible for the day-to-day running of the business on a strategic level, board and investor liaison, and the formulation and implementation of the marketing and sales strategy. Simon was named in the top 100 Entrepreneurs in the Courvoisier/Guardian Future 500 List in 2008.

Chris Malthouse Financial Director

Chris has over 15 years experience in the IT and telecommunications industries. He worked as a key member of the management team that set up a telecoms subsidiary of Yorkshire Electricity growing it to a turnover of £15m and then leading the sale of the business to a third party. He then spent the next few years involved with developing a number of small / medium sized businesses getting involved in MBOs and financing projects until he joined ANS Group in 2000 where his responsibilities include sitting on the board of Viapost for ANS.

Ben Way, Founder & Inventor

Ben has run a number of successful companies and through Rainmakers, takes equity and consultancy roles to help develop business concepts and intellectual property. His primary interests are social software and disruptive technologies, such as ViaPost. He is expert in helping companies to quickly and effectively deliver new concepts and innovations and assists ViaPost in this regard. He has acted as a consultant to the US and UK governments and lectured at Imperial College on entrepreneurship and business investment.

Charlie Lass, Co-Founder

Charlie is a founding Director of ViaPost and over the years has been involved with a number of other successful business ventures with both Ben Way and Simon Campbell. He is a multilingual entrepreneur with two degrees and very strong creative skills, demonstrated well by his film and theatre production company.

Natalie Ayres, Non-executive Director

Natalie worked at Microsoft UK for 15 years and was a member of its main UK board when she left in December 2006. At Microsoft she was responsible for SME client spend of approx. £500m p.a. and initiated and developed strong sales channels for the group through strategic partnerships. She now acts as an adviser to a select portfolio of fast growth businesses, utilising her exceptional experience in areas such as the delivery of sales and marketing campaigns, formulation and delivery of fast-growth business strategies, creation of strong strategic relationships and alliances and the development and implementation of loyalty programmes.
